ROBERTO CARNEVALI

Roberto Carnevali was born in Modena, Italy in 1968, where he works and lives. He breathes photography since he was a boy in his family and at the age of 9 he was spurred to photograph with a fully manual Nikon SLR. Self-taught, he learned from his mother the more whimsical and instinctive side of photography, and from his father a more technical and meditative approach to the scene.

Photographer by passion, he explores the world of the image in its multifaceted forms. He has a strong predilection for black and white, through which he builds his own visions and suggestions. He loves to tell the stories that are close to his heart, preparing photographic paths that bring the viewer into direct contact with emotions and sensations. Contaminations, influences and inspirations to his way of creating images, come mainly from music, literature and love for mountains (Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, William Shakespeare, Reinhold Messner and Walter Bonatti).

Roberto is a promoter of photographic culture: he personally prepares and curates photography workshops and courses, thematic tutorials, thematic meetings and seminars. His images are the subject of numerous publications, exhibitions, and screenings.

Since the beginning of 2014, he has been associated with ARGALAM (green journalists).

His photographic works investigate the world of mountains, environment, food, lifestyle, luxury, street and are published in the most important magazines in the field.
