Aerial drone view of Lake Brasimone or Scalere
Aerial drone view of Lake Brasimone or Scalere

DESCRIPTION
Fall is one of the best seasons for hiking in the mountains. Once the intense summer heat has passed, you can rediscover the pleasure of walking along trails that wind through hills and forests. Moreover, if the area is wooded, the foliage begins to color the entire landscape with warm tones. In the upper Bolognese Apennines, on the border between Emilia-Romagna and Tuscany, the artificial Brasimone Lake, also known as the Scalere Reservoir, is a perfect spot for autumn hikes. Located within the Suviana and Brasimone Lakes Regional Park, the reservoir was formed following the construction of a dam for electricity generation that served the city of Bologna. The ENEA Brasimone Research Center is also located on the shores of the lake. Using a drone aerial shot taken from a height of 120 meters, I captured this panoramic view of the lake and the entire area.
