The magic of the autumn forest immersed in rain and clouds
DESCRIPTION
Even a rainy autumn day can have its charms if you try to look for them. In the Bressanone basin on Mount Ponente, the great forests were bathed in what might have looked like thick fog. In reality they were immersed in a layer of clouds that permeated them completely. Certainly not ideal conditions for hiking. But photographically the mix of forest, rain and clouds offers remarkable possibilities for those willing to experiment. So I decided to hike the Caredo Masi Trail, which through these dense forests allowed me to immerse myself in these fairy-tale atmospheres. And this photograph is testimony to what can be experienced in those conditions.
