Overview of Grandes Jorasses and Rochefort Ridge

DESCRIPTION
The Alps, with their high peaks exceeding 4,000 m, form a natural border between Italy and France. From Courmayeur, two valleys branch off—the Val Veny to the west and the Val Ferret to the east—both winding their way from the vast Mont Blanc massif. A high-altitude trail runs through the Val Ferret, connecting the Bertone Hut to the Bonatti Hut. From this natural vantage point, you can admire the peaks, spires, and glaciers that, among other things, are part of mountaineering history. In this image, the Grandes Jorasses (4,208 m) and the long ridge of Rochefort (4,001 m).
A grand and magnificent natural setting.
