Summer panorama of Monte Paterno and the Tre Cime di Lavaredo

DESCRIPTION
From Val Fiscalina, follow trail no. 102 up Val Sassovecchio until you reach this magnificent view of the Dolomites. On the left, Mount Paterno (2,744 m) dominates the basin, and on the right, the Tre Cime di Lavaredo (2,999 m). Between them, you can see the trail that leads to the Lavaredo pass and beyond to the Auronzo refuge. It is one of the most majestic natural mountain landscapes, where you feel truly small. The Tre Cime di Lavaredo, also known as the Drei Zinnen, are one of the places where some of the most important and historic pages of mountaineering history were written. Mount Paterno in particular, but the whole area, is also linked to the terrible events of the First World War. These are places to be admired in silence, contemplating the grandeur and beauty of Nature.
