DESCRIPTION
The Cadini di Misurina mountain range (Ciadìs de Meśorìna in Ladin) illuminated by the last rays of a summer afternoon. I took this picture from the base of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo after walking around them. The blue summer sky was dominated by large, soft white clouds. The Cadini are unique in their infinite array of spires, peaks, summits, and boldly shaped rocks. They are part of the Eastern Dolomites and are located in Veneto in the province of Belluno. I used high-contrast black and white to emphasize their shapes and volumes.
