The Italian side of Mont Blanc in black and white

The Italian side of Mont Blanc in black and white

1

DESCRIPTION

The Italian side of Mont Blanc is a unique natural spectacle. It rises from an elevation of 1,200 m in Courmayeur to reach the summit, which at 4,810 m is the highest point in Europe. These 3,600 m of vertical walls stretching from the base to the summit make this side unique. But to enjoy this view, you need to find the right vantage point and favorable weather conditions. With this in mind, I took this black-and-white photograph documenting the contours and shapes of the massif rising in the Aosta Valley above Courmayeur. On a clear, windy day—as evidenced by the snow drifts stretching for hundreds of meters along the ridge—I captured this image.
