DESCRIPTION
Lake Braies in Alta Pusteria is a charming place set in an extraordinary natural landscape. Surrounded by the Dolomites with their peaks and forests that descend to the surface, it is dominated by the great wall of Croda del Becco. The small church steeped in history and the rowboat rental complete the classic elements that man has added to this valley. From 2012 to 2018, I always returned to Braies in October without fail, together with my wife Stefania. Unlike all the other years, in 2018 the weather was unusually mild, with no sign of the first snowfalls even on the highest peaks. On the shore of the lake in front of the church, the crew of "Ad un passo dal cielo" (One Step from Heaven) was filming a scene that included a quick passage on horseback by the protagonist, played by actor Daniele Liotti.
