DESCRIPTION
When taking a photograph, we often find what corresponds to our state of mind rather than what we are looking for. It might seem like a limitation, but if you learn to accept and manage it, it isn’t at all. Although I have wandered alone for years through much of the mountains of northern Italy in search of photographs, certain shots only came when I wasn’t alone. To be precise, when I found myself experiencing these places with Stefania, the girl I fell in love with many years ago and who is still by my side. With her by my side, it comes naturally to me to find images that tell a very personal story. It’s as if her presence calms the wind blowing through my thoughts, allowing me to find, for a moment, the perfection of my surroundings. So, a few days ago, together with her, we walked along the shores of Lake Tenno in Trentino, and the same magic I had experienced in the past happened again. The wind completely died down, and before my eyes lay the wonder of this perfect reflection of the Trentino mountains in Lake Tenno.
