THE HISTORY OF THE MICHELIN GUIDE - From tires to global gastronomic power
On March 2, 2026, TODAY, the online newspaper of CITYNEWS, a special feature will be published dedicated to the famous Michelin Guide. It tells the incredible story of how a small publication created in the late 19th century by a tire manufacturer became a global benchmark for the restaurant industry.
To illustrate the article, a black and white portrait of mine was used, depicting Massimo Bottura Chef and owner of Osteria Francescana, a restaurant with three Michelin stars and a Michelin green star in the historic center of Modena, twice awarded as the best restaurant in the world by The World's 50 Best Restaurants.

THE PHOTOGRAPH
I took this portrait of Massimo Bottura inside the Osteria Francescana in Modena on September 5, 2012. We met him privately together with journalist and friend Luca Bonacini to write an article published in LiveIn Magazine.
