Lake Braies and the surrounding landscape of forests, slopes, and the majestic Dolomites form an environment extraordinarily rich in natural beauty. A place whose ever-growing fame attracts tourists eager to admire its beauty. Of course, the Croda del Becco, which dominates the lake with its dizzying height, remains unchanged, as do the woods and the stilt house of the boat rental, regardless of this fame. What changes, however, for those who appreciate the mountains as a place to retreat from others and enter a different dimension is precisely the difficulty of isolating oneself. Being able to enjoy such a setting in complete silence, without hearing the voices of other people, offers a completely different sensation—one that is far more fulfilling and profound.
